Savannah Cats Down Under has spent a great deal of time searching the world for Savannah cats of the highest quality to bring the best of the best into your home. In doing this we has teamed up with "A1 Savannahs" in the USA to continue this renowned first class lineage here in Australia.
A1 Savannahs was founded by Joyce Sroufe in the late 1980's and registered their first Savannah litter in 1994. Today's owners of A1 Savannahs (Martin and Kathrin Stucki) are equally devoted to the Savannah cats as a breed and are totally dedicated to producing the highest quality Savannah kittens to share with the world. In doing so, Martin and Kathrin produced the world's first litter of registered SBT Savannah cats.
Savannah Cats Down Under is located 5 minutes from the Adelaide CBD and is solely committed and focused on producing only the highest quality Savannah cats with the most adaptable temperaments.
Our Savannah cats are homed in a state of the art monitored and secured environment with access to both our outdoor enclosure and our home. Our Savannah kittens are raised in home under foot and are socialised from a very young age in many different situations. This creates a confident pet that is perfect for any home and comfortable in any situation. Whether you are visiting friends or family, taking a walk or even dining alfresco, after some training your new family member will be more than happy to join you and will walk by your side in a harness with confidence.

Our aim is to raise Australia's finest lineage of Savannah cats. Our Savannah kittens are of the highest quality and health, mirroring the makeup of the native African Serval whilst still owning a social and confident temperament that will be ideal in any situation. The ongoing intrinsic research of A1 Savannahs has enabled us to develop a state of the art breeding program with an approach that is unparalleled in Australia. Our adherence to a strict code of breed standard ethics will ensure that only genuine Savannah to Savannah breeding occurs preventing any dilution of the high quality genetics already being achieved.

Even though we reside within the hustle and bustle of the city life we still love nothing more than coming home and having all our pets around us. Apart from being Savannah Breeders we also have our original cats Keta (the Tonkinese) and Morgen (the street kitty we rescued whilst on holiday down south). Making up the rest of our family, we have Tyrence the Galah and we can't forget to mention our 4 bantom chooks. We also choose to open our home to help out with foster care for the RSPCA. This brings us all sorts of suprises and challenges but we would have it no other way. The RSPCA do some really great work in picking up the pieces when people do wrong by their loyal pets and we are proud to be part of the second chance they can offer to all animals.
